May Day is one of my favorite days of the year. Maybe its my childhood memories of ding dong ditching our neighbors with treats, maybe it’s that our first date was on May Day, maybe it’s that I just love the concept of surprising your neighbors with something special! Either way, I love May Day! The boys and I had an awesome time last week delivering May Day cookies. Jack actually said that it was the funnest thing he’d ever done!
After delivering 13 packages of these delicious cookies, I’ve had just about everyone ask for the recipe. Although I prefer M&M’s, or oatmeal in my cookies, Matt loves these because he says they are just old fashioned good chewy chocolate chip cookies. They are really simple to make too.

They are pretty adorable, some days I just want them to stay like this forever! Sadly no one brought us cookies even though all day my boys thought for sure someone would! I think the tradition just isn’t well known here like it was in MN where I grew up.
I didn’t want the recipe, because I want YOU to make them for us again, and again and again!! My kids ate them ALL, I didn’t even get one bite of one. They musta been good. LOL!!! 🙂 We felt so loved and special that you did that!!!
I’m glad you guys got to enjoy them, I guess I’ll have to make some for just you so you get some next time! Your boys saw us right away but must not have known to “catch” us they have to hug us!
