Dill Pepper Tortilla Roll-Ups

Simple Tortilla Roll Up Appetizers

In our family on a Saturday afternoon a round of appetizers is our favorite type of lunch. Often we’ll come home from church and whip up 3-4 appetizers and enjoy them throughout the afternoon while watching football. When it comes to making apps for a meal, or to serve at a gathering, these dilly bean roll ups are one of our favorites. They are super simple too.

All I do is mix the spices and cheese with the cream cheese, and then I spread it over a tortilla. I used Cayenne, Garlic and Onion Mix, and Lawry’s, but the seasonings are really flexible. Depending on how spicy you like it you can add or take away any spices you’d like. Dill Pepper Tortilla Rolls Ups

Then I top the tortilla with some pepper slices and dilly beans. I know that sometimes they aren’t very easy to find, but I usually can find them in the pickle aisle at the grocery store. Otherwise you can always snag a three-pack online here. *contains affiliate link* As for the peppers we love red and yellow, but there’s no right or wrong way to make these.Tortilla Roll Up Appetizers

Then I just roll the tortilla up as tight as possible and slice it. Usually I make about three logs to slice and fill a plate.Red Pepper and Dilly Bean Tortilla Roll Up

You can be really artistic and make them beautiful on the inside, or you can just get it done and they still taste just as awesome. These ones definitely aren’t the prettiest ones I’ve ever made, if I would have spread the cream cheese more evenly and spaced the peppers better they could be prettier.

Often I make these a day ahead of time, letting them chill in the fridge. Then on the day of the event all I have to do is slice and plate them.

*If you’ve been following along on our crazy adventure you know that we are just getting settled into our rental in Michigan. I made these wraps a few weeks before the insanity began, and just finally have had time to blog about them! We’ve been in our 1 month rental for a full week now and our cooking has consisted of sandwiches, chips and salsa, and anything that can be made with plastic utensils on a paper plate… classy I know.
