Mexican Restaurant Queso Dip

January 8, 2014 By BrightGreenDoor

Mexican Restaurant Queso Dip
I don’t know about you, but my favorite part of going out for Mexican is always the Queso Dip. For a while I’ve been trying to find the perfect recipe and they were always too spicy, too thick, too runny, until I tweaked them all enough to make this perfect Mexican Restaurant Queso Dip.

Mexican Restaurant Queso Dip

  • Author: Jess McGurn *BrightGreenDoor*
  • Prep Time: 5 mins
  • Cook Time: 5 mins
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Velveeta Queso Blanco (White Cheese), cubed
  • 7 oz can of diced green chilies
  • 15 slices of jalapeños, diced
  • 1/3 cup jalapeño juice
  • 1 cup milk (I use 1 %)
  • 3/4 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients and microwave on high for 5 minutes, stirring every few minutes.
  2. Once it is all melted and combined it will seem a bit runny but after about 2 minutes it will be the perfect consistency.
  3. Serve with chips or over your favorite mexican dish, rice, or beans.
  4. TRY not to eat it all in one sitting!
