Tried & True Recipes to Inspire!

Pineapple Slush

August 25, 2016 By BrightGreenDoor

Recently we’ve been trying to eat healthier. This means that my favorite summer treat of ice cream has been mostly cut out. Cue ALL the tears. Although we’re not eating much ice cream, this delicious pineapple slush **almost** fills that void! Supposedly it’s the same as the “Dole Whip” from Disney, but since I’ve never had one I can’t say from my own experience. I can tell you that this AMAZING pineapple slush is healthy, delicious, and we’ve been making them almost daily!Frozen Pineapple Drink

I make mine with frozen pineapple, coconut milk, and stevia. If you weren’t worried about the calories though, you could use sugar instead of stevia.Coconut and Pineapple Frozen Drink

It’s the EASIEST recipe ever. I just pour the coconut milk in the blender, toss in the pineapple chunks, and then sprinkle in the stevia to sweeten it up.Recipe for Dole Whip

You can buy frozen pineapple, or you can slice and freeze your own pineapple. The important part is that it must be frozen first, you cannot use fresh pineapple.Dole Whip Frozen Pineapple Drink

I’ve made this sort of fancy in a dessert dish with a pineapple garnish, and I’ve made it simple in drinking glasses with a spoon for the kids. Frozen Coconut Pineapple Slush

Although the pineapple garnish is not necessary, it adds a fun caribbean vibe to the treat!Disney Dole Whip Recipe

**This post contains affiliate links** I use my ninja blender, which I LOVE. Most days it gets so much use that we end up hand washing it a few times a day. Any high speed blender would do the job though.Pineapple Drink Frozen
